About Niklas Sörum

Niklas Sörum holds a PhD in Ethnology and is a senior researcher at the Centre for Consumer Science, CFK, University of Gothenburg. He is doing research on the digitization of consumer culture, ethical consumption, second-hand, retro- and vintage markets and jazz music festivals as cultural production. He participates in researchprojects DIGCON (digitalization of consumer culture), Re: heritge and CHIME at CFK. His research has been published in scientific journals such as Consumption, Markets and Culture, Journal of Consumer Policy and Culture Unbound. Niklas' latest book is a co-authored, comparative ethnographic study of urban consumers' shopping routes published by Ashgate.
