Registration

Online registration for the OMICS 2019 conference is closed.
Registration and payment deadline was October 18.

Conference fee: SEK 1500 (approx €145 or USD165)

Registration at conference venue

Registration is open between 11:00 -13:00 on Wednesday November 6, and takes place in the C-building, outside room C22.

If you arrive later, please register and pick up your tame tag at the info point/wardrobe in room C35.

Visa and invitations

If you need a visa to travel to Sweden, please register as early as possible to allow time for the application process. It is recommended to submit your visa application at least two months before your trip.

Once you have notified us (in the registration form) that you need a visa, we will send you an invitation letter. Please note that we are only able to send invitiation letters for praticipants presenting papers at the conference.

Travel grant for young researchers

Young/early career researchers and PhD candidates from any of the countries below can apply for a traveling grant, funded by the Swedish International Centre for Local Democracy (ICLD). The grant covers flight ticket, hotel and conference fee.

To be eligible to apply, you must either be a national of or affiliated to a university in any the countries below. You are also eligible to apply if your research is connected to any of the counties below.

  • Europe – Bosnia and Hercegovina, Georgia, Kosovo, Moldova, North Macedonia, Russia, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine.
  • Asia – Indonesia, China and Vietnam.
  • Africa – Botswana, Kenya, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

To apply, please send a short CV to OMICS2019@gu.se before August 15. The participants awarded the grant will be contacted by ICLD to arrange the travel arrangements directly with them.

Payment of the conference fee

The conference reception on November 6, coffee/tea during breaks, lunches and the conference dinner/party on November 7 are all included in the fee.

  • 1 500 SEK (without VAT)
  • 1 875 SEK (with VAT)

Only private individuals/independent participants from within the EU (including Sweden) need to pay VAT. Participants from outside the EU pay no VAT.

Please note: All participants from within the European Union (except Sweden) will need to fill in the VAT-number of their institution / organisation in the registration form below to be exempted from paying VAT.
